Caribbean Life 02/12/24

On June 2, Michael Mauldin, who is the co-founder of the Black American Music Association (BAMA), will launch the Imperial Crown of Excellence (ICE) Medal of Honor. The award ceremony will take place at Ray Charles Performing Arts Center, on the campus of historically-Black Morehouse College (Atlanta, GA). The ceremony will occur as the country celebrates 100 years of the art form of Black American music this year.


Honorees this year include Alicia Keys, who will receive The Ella Fitzgerald “Gold Standard Award”; Grandmaster Flash, who will receive the “Transformative Award”; Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, who will receive the “Creative Impact Award,” and many more.
